Our love story
First meet
Feb 4 2013 Her Version:I first met Leo, when he started work at the GT Bank as a system developer. Like every new staff, he was taken around to meet other staff at the Bank. I was then a customer service staff at the Clara Town Branch. Nothing was interesting that day, he seemed like any young man starting a new job.
His VersionThis was the second meet for me. The first time I met Dewah was when I opened my savings account at the Bank. It was Michael Cassell, one of my groomsmen, who introduced us and asked that she assist me with the process. I thought she was cute. There was nothing major until I joined the bank a few months later, and sparked her interest, resolving all technical issues she faced with the banking applications I managed.
First date
Jan 14 2016 Her Version:Leo proved to be a nice and smart guy, humble, supportive, and funny. We became friends. He had earlier expressed interest in me, which I turned down. Regardless of the rejection, he remained the same towards me. He had others, who he claimed were his "friends" and I began to feel a little jealous when he spent time with his new "friends". The feelings evolved and I was afraid he didn't feel the same as he wasn't responding to my signals until he asked me out this day. A lot happened and the rest is history.
His VersionWe became friends some months after I joined the bank. She turned me down the first time I asked her out, but we remained cool pals. She even served as my wingman sometimes, but later started emitting some signals. Signals that I picked up from the very start but pretended not to have. I knew the strength of the signals were proportional to what she felt, so I intentionally delayed so it cooked well inside her. On this date I asked her out, I knew it was impossible to get turned down at this point. Dinner, movies, the club... and the days onward were no longer the same.
Proposal
Apr 20 2019 Her Version:Leo blew my mind with this one. I didn't see it coming, I guess no one does. It wasn't a regular vacation but there was nothing suspicious. He took me to Paris and asked us to take a walk after we had checked in at the hotel. We walked about 25mins while he showed me around. While crossing the river He stopped me in the middle of a bridge, which I later got to know as the Pont des Arts, he knelt, showed me the ring, and asked me to marry him. And I said Yes!
His VersionBuilding up to this date, I had sent for her to spend the spring break with me in Europe. In her mind, it was just a vacation. During the week, we had visited three other cities, and today was the bus trip to Paris. After arrival and check-in, I presented the itinerary, we rested a little, and set out. The walk was long and interesting. I managed to hide the ring well and kept my composure. When we got to the middle of the Pont des Arts, I stopped, removed the ring knelt, opened the box, and proposed. She was quite emotional, for a second, I thought she was going to pass out. She said Yes with tears rolling down her cheeks, and I placed the ring on her finger.
